The Visitor Center, located near the historic district, in Frederick, Maryland has invited geocachers attending Geowoodstock XIII to a meet and greet in Frederick, "The City of Clustered Spires." Located in Frederick County, downtown Frederick offers great shops, excellent eateries, Baker Park, Carroll Creek and many other interesting sites, Frederick has several geocaches in the downtown area, including GC513WZ - The Capitol A Historic Frederick Geo-Adventure, in which the Visitor Center would be a great place gather in a group and start your geocache adventure. You are not required to find the geocache to attend this event. Frederick is approximately 30 minutes from the location of Geowoodstock XIII. You will be able to spend some time in Frederick if you like and make it out to Hagerstown for the afternoon event.
There is metered parking on the streets around the Visitor Center and waypoints have been given for two parking garages in downtown.
