If walls could talk just think of the stories they could tell...
This ole' barn was once the rock quarry for E.W. Marland when he was building his Palace on the Prairie. Most of the rock was quarried from this area and taken by horse drawn carriages up the hill to the Marland Mansion. Later in years it became a dairy barn for a local farmer. Recently the owner of the property cleared away all the overgrown timber and brush and this lost ole' barn came back to life. No one is sure what the owner has in store for the barn but he hopes to someday restore the barn. I recently had the opportunity to take a tour of the ole' barn and was amazed at all the character still left inside the barn.
