Luodong Cultural Working House, a venue combining space for exhibition, performance, eco-resevoirs, and permeable grasslands, features designs that minimize the need for artificial lights and air-conditioning. Such designs minimize consumption of electricity and emission of carbon dioxide, and were helpful in lessening global warming effects and reducing natural disasters. Iconic huge 18m high roof covering an open space with natural vegetation, small creek, and large concrete ground, while there is a gallery and open platform hanging in mid air allowing visitors to see the mountains surrounding the city.
The green architectural design leaves large area of grasslands and eco-resevoirs for the Luodong Cultural Working House, which not only provides habitats for both land and water wildlives, but also helps maintaining an ideal ground water conservation and recycle system that meet the needs of Lanyang Plain.
Open hour : 9:00~17:00 (Tue~Wed) free admission, parking is avaiable right next to the venue. The mid-air art gallery is also admission free except for some special exhibits.
