Graveyard shift Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Big Ragnar: This cache has been in need of care and maintenance for some time and as the owner has not responded to recent logs I am archiving it.

The Geocache Maintenance guideline explains a CO's responsibility towards checking and maintaining the cache when problems are reported. Caches that have been archived for lack of maintenance will not be unarchived. This is explained in the Help Center.

If you wish to email me please send your email via my profile (click on my name) and quote the cache name and number.

Geocache Description:

This is the first in a series of caches I will be placing in the area of Cardigan.

This is a nano pod located opposite a grave yard close to an area called Netpool, you will need to take a pen to sign the log. It is fairly tricky to locate so allow at least 10 mins of looking :) If you have children there is a park located a little further along with pretty views of the River Teifi

The town is strategically placed on the banks of the River Teifi. A castle was built by Robert Montgomery in 1093 after the Norman army conquered Ceredigion, but the area was regained by the Welsh in 1136 after a victory against the Normans at Crug Mawr, with the town holding out until 1164. Under Welsh rule a castle was built in stone with a walled settlement around it and in 1176 Lord Rhys instituted the first eisteddfod. Contestants came from all over Wales, England, Scotland and Ireland to compete for chairs in music and poetry. In 1199 the town received its first charter and became an important trade centre. In 1227 a weekly market was established which continues to this day
