It's also worth congratulating Cyborg Taffy for the FTF (for more on why he's a Cyborg, note my geocache log for GLGCA5PP). I mean, I guess it's not a sure thing that he'll be getting the FTF for this and my upcoming placement (probably will be listed almost simultaneously), as there are so many local FTFers (e.g., NMM, alichtenthal/earthman/whatever the heck he's calling himself nowadays, MariBob, little prodigy Teddy and mommy Maria), cachers coming out of the woodworks (GeocachingSisters101, Noellerx, GeocacheSeekers, GlampingCousins new name which already may be covered in these parenthesis...they already had a strange caching situation in that they were sharing the name with cousins that were a world away, now they're sharing with their kids...just keeps getting confusinger), guys coming from a thousand miles away with crappy stickers the second a cache is posted (IPF), and various Toms, Barrys and Andys. But let's be real here, FTF will be going to John the Taffymaker.
Fine...I was wrong (congrats Eric). Laffy Taffy hasn't even found it yet and it's almost 24 hours old. Slacker. In fairness, my first non-Taaffe guess was right...Good guess or first loser?
So, I am of the opinion that Plainview and the surrounding area, or more honestly, the area where I live, does not have nearly enough geocaches. Furthermore, I think we can all acknowledge that 80s music was better than any music you listen to, unless of course, you listen primarily to 80s music, especially the pansy love songs I listen to, in which case, your music is equally as good as 80s music. So, I plan on beefing up the caching atmosphere near me, and as a bonus, I plan on naming the caches after 80s songs, each starting with a different letter or number, so you all can work towards you profile goals while I continue to only have caches starting with lame letters like A, S and T. It is my pleasure to serve you after all. Also, note that, while I plan on putting out several well thought out, impressive caches, the ones in this series may or may not be anything but. At a minimum, they will be "keep the streak alive" placements. At the maximum, they'll be the thought-provoking ones you expect of better geocachers than I. Enjoy, all.
