Geocache Description:

Continueing the idea started by Bmak, this cache is near a Welcome to Ararat sign, on the Maroona (sSouth) end of town. The highway leads to Maroona, Wickliffe, Mortlake and eventually the Warnambool.

A few years back I lived in Hamilton and dated a girl in StArnaud, and this sign represented the half-way mark between us.

The cache is a Bison tube, BYO pen

This cache is located at the edge of Ararat and can be reached by foot (if you are staying in Ararat), but I would reccommend car.There is plenty of parking at GZ and this cache can be reached from either direction, but it is on a bend. Plenty of opportunities to turn around. Watch out for local traffic, and use stealth. The cache is a safe distance from the highway, but children should be supervised.

Look out for muggles on foot, snakes (in warmer weather), traffic, this is the main road to the south.
