Croft Circular #14 Bird's nest Traditional Cache

This is for my muggle husband and his homeland of New Zealand. You were looking for a Pukeko. Pukekos are common birds in New Zealand and often found in farmland like this. They are dark blue in colour with a striking red beak. They resemble a moorhen but are much bigger and more glamourous than their English cousins. Tragically the pukeko was trodden on by a cow and squashed. He has been replaced by another bird. I fear the container is less than ideal for the inclement British weather but we'll see how we go until I work out how to secure a different container I have in mind.....
