Geocache Description:

The splendidly preserved Motte close to the eastern boundary of the gardens was built in the late 12th century by John de Courcy, Earl of Ulster or one of his followers. By 1210 the Castle of Antrim had passed to the Crown.

The Cache is a small tube like container about 5" long and wrapped in camo tape. It contains a log book and pencil but wont have room for anything else. Please replace carefully where it is found.

Castle Gardens in Antrim is a great walk with ample parking and a cafe on site. Theres also another geocache in the area so can be a couple of quick cache and dash's done!
