Geocache Description:

Nice hike/bike/cross country ski/snowmobile ride/snowshoe along the Sutton-Zephyr Rail Trail and/or the adjacent tract of the York Regional Forest. Note this is the last cache before the river heading south and the bridge is out.

This is the last stop heading south on the Sutton-Zephyr Rail Trail with the bridge out. Hopefully they'll replace it with a walking bridge soon. It wouldn't cost much and the trail would get a lot more use if you could continue north or south. You can head east just north of this cache along a trail that leads out to the York/Durham Line. In the depths of winter, the river might be frozen enough to cross and continue south. But be very careful! Flowing water doesn't freeze as fast as a still lake or pond. If you see snowmobile tracks over the river you're probably good to go.

We placed this cache near where the OFSC trail branches off heading west. It takes over for Land Shark as being the last cache before the dead end at the river. You're looking for a small, black 1" by 4" cylinder that's not in any creative containers like Wayne72's. We didn't have any on us, sorry. Maybe we'll haul one out here and fix it up like one of his. Cache contains only the log. Bring your own pen/pencil.

Happy hunting!

CONGRATULATIONS TO LIGUM ON THE FTF and TMI ON 2TF!
