skooba: As I remember Geocaching guidelines say that Events should be archived after about two weeks. I have not wanted to archive it yet because there are still two Travel Bugs in it. I know I hate it when I get a notice that something was archived when my Travel Bug was in it but if it's been almost a month so…
We have E-mailed the owner's and added these to our watchlist hoping someone will remember to log them.
Unfortunately, there have been times when we have forgot to log one right away and we are hoping this is the case.
Thank you again for all of you that showed up. It was fun and we hope to see you at another one soon.

Geocache Description:

We are going to have a Travel Bug race on February 15 at the Berrien Springs library. We'll meet in the afternoon, 1:00 - 5:00 so there is no conflict with going to church if you'd like to. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE TB RACE TO ATTEND THE EVENT!

If you have been to a Travel Bug race the past, this would most likely be similar. It has been a while since we went to one so I forgot to add that it is "BYTB" :) Bring Your Own Travel Bug. AND at least the travel tag needs to be a new untraveled one. Thank you for the questions and let us know if you have any other questions or ideas for the race

We were hoping to begin January 1st, let them go for a year and then try to be back January 1st 2016 for another event to see what happened with them. But...In a way this is going to work even better because we will post an event for February 29 to see what has happened with the Travel Bugs AND get a leap year cache for those of us that have not found one yet :)

I am not sure how I missed it last time but I will make sure I get it in 2016.

Since this is the day after Valentines it will have somewhat of a Valentines theme to it. You are welcome to bring any leftover candy or whatever you have like that that you need to get rid of! :-) We have quite a few little "goody bags" with some swag and trackable tags as well as a lot of Valentines candy!

Now to the Travel Bug race: The first Travel Bug to go missing (and is still missing at next year's event) ??? What should it be?
The first Travel Bug to travel outside the 48 contiguous states (Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, Mexico & beyond) 100 points
The Travel Bug that has visited the most states 10 points per state
The Travel Bug that has visited the most countries 40 points per country
A photo of a Travel Bug and a benchmark 20 points per benchmark
The Travel Bug that has been to the most Geocaching events 20 points per event
The Travel Bug that has been to the most Mega Geocaching events 200 points per Mega event
The one with the most pictures in its gallery 5 points per picture

To make it fair for everyone we will not change any of this after the race begins.
