Geocache Description:

A temporary MAGNETIC NANO is in place until the letterbox can be replaced.

A basic letterbox, in the CBD.

Dear Editor,

As an avid geocacher, I feel it is my duty to highlight the dearth of letterboxes in the Wellington region.

What, I ask, with righteous indignation and barely contained moral outrage, is the world coming to? Frankly, it is a disgrace, a blight upon our allegedly civilized society, that good old-fashioned letter writing is rapidly being stamped out by this new-fangled "e-mail" malarkey.

It is with fond memories that I recall the pigeon post, the clank of brass letter flaps, a dull thud as envelopes hit the floor, mailmen shrieking like banshees as they sprinted off with curs nipping at their heels … ah, those were the days … so I have taken it upon myself to install a suitable receptacle (I’ll bill the Post Office for it later) in the vicinity of your bureau.

I look forward to reading the slew of correspondence that follows.

Yours faithfully,

Curmudgeonly Old Codger, Mt Cook

The GPS is unreliable in this area, so look at the map and work from there. There's really only one seat in the area. Please ensure the cache is hidden well as this is a high muggle area. Thanks.
