GCC#018 Skipping out for Lunch Traditional Cache

The former Essonville school was a little far from the settlement of Essonville, but at the time it was halfway for the attending students. Built in 1881, by the early 1890s 45 students were attending the school. In 1906 that number had declined to 36 students taught by Minnie Campbell. In 1965, the school was closed and is now a summer cottage.

The cache is located next door on private property with owner’s permission.
