Congratulations to Frisky Biscuits for the FTF!
Rockport State Park opened in 1961, the park derives its name from the community of Rockport. The town itself was named for the numerous large rocks near the boat landing on the Skagit River. The old-growth timber that is the park's most immediately recognizable feature covers nearly 600 acres. The trees exist because the Sound Timber Company refused to log them. Instead, in 1935, Sound Timber sold the land and timber to the state of Washington for $1. Washington State Parks acquired the property from the Washington State Department of Natural Resources in 1961.

The park offers an ADA-accessible trail. Rockport offers a 670-acre park—a rare, old growth forest of ancient cedar, fir, hemlock and maple teeming with lichen and moss. Some of the Douglas-fir trees are 250 feet tall and more than 300 years old.
The cache is located along the Evergreen Trail at Rockport State Park. The trail is a 2.7 mile hiking trail through old-growth forest. The trail reopened in 2012 after the completion of a maintenance and trail relocation project. I think it is one of the most diverse trails in the park.
The park hours are winter Friday through Tuesday: 8:00 am - Dusk. Summer hours are 8:00 am - Dusk. A Discover Pass is required. If you do not have a Discover Pass, please visit http://www.discoverpass.wa.gov/.
Coordinates were taken on 4 different days and weather conditions using multiple GPS devices and have been averaged. However, coordinates in this area are bouncy. For that reason, I have given an excellent hint. If there are any problems with them, please let me know.
