Love/Hate Series 03 - Russian Roulette Traditional Cache

Love/Hate is an Irish crime drama series about fictional criminal underworld characters written by Stuart Carolyn and broadcast by RTE. This gripping crime drama centred on the lives, loves and deaths of Dublin's gangland, set in the post boom era. This series of caches is placed at set locations. This one is fitting as the lads were always dashing up or down the Naas Road or M50. The cache is a micro near the iconic pedestrian crossing bridge beside the 'Mad Cow' roundabout.

Season 1 Episode 4

Brian Gleeson played Hughie, a largely unsavory character also known as 'Cue Ball'. He was the volatile drug-addicted brother of kingpin John Boy. He was the one who shot Robbie, Darrens brother over 300 quid. As well as his drug habit he had an additional habit of pulling guns on people. Hughie and John-Boy had just ruined Nidge and Trish’s wedding day. What started off as a joke, him pointing a gun at Elmo, ended up as a game of Russian Roulette gone wrong. As he lies bleeding to death, Elmo (played by Laurence Kinlan) decides it would be better for everyone if they didn’t call an ambulance.
