"What's My Line" was one of the most popular TV shows during the 1950's and 60's, a period often referred to as the golden age of television. It was a game show moderated by John Daly and featured a celebrity panel consisting of show business and media personalities. They included Arlene Francis, Bennett Cerf, Dorothy Kilgallen, Steve Allen, Kitty Carlisle and others. Contestants with unusual occupations appeared on the show and the panelists attempted to guess their occupation. Another feature of the show was the appearance of a mystery celebrity guest. Panelists wore eye masks to prevent them from seeing the celebrity and asked yes-no questions in an attempt to determine the celebrity's identity. The show won 3 Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe Award as best TV show of 1962.
