The Burnt One Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

-allenite-: As there's been no response from the cache owner to my previous note, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival.

Geocache Description:

You are looking for a Nalgene Container hidden in Valley Woods Nature Preserve. I forgot to put a pen in the container, so please bring your own. I really like this nature preserve, especially in winter when everything freezes us. Or at least tries to. Hope you enjoy your trip.

I tried to figure out why there are so many burnt up trees in the area, initially thinking there was a lightning strike. Turns out the city conducted a controlled burn of the marsh area in April of 2012. Mystery solved.
