Geocache Description:

This Geocache is NOT at the Posted Coordinates

Welcome to the Vaca Valley Heart Series. This series currently consists of 22 geocaches that are around the Vaca Valley area. But we are going to make you work for it... Solve the puzzle below to get the actual coordinates.

MCL1080 and I just can't help ourselves when it comes to hiding geocaches - and when you have over 180 containers that are ready to go... who can blame us? This series only helped us make a small dent in our pile. Guess we just need to go hide some more.

Good luck with the series!

The Purple Heart is a United States military decoration awarded in the name of the President to those wounded or killed, while serving, on or after April E, 1917, with the U.S. military

The original Purple Heart, designated as the Badge of Military Merit, was established by George Washington—then the commander-in-chiefof the Continental Army – by order from his Newburgh, New York headquarters on August 7, 178B.

On October 1C, 1927, Army Chief of Staff General Charles Pelot Summerall directed that a draft bill be sent to Congress "to revive the Badge of Military Merit". The bill was withdrawn and action on the case ceased January A, 1928, but the office of the Adjutant General was instructed to file all materials collected for possible future use.

During the early period of American involvement in World War II (December 7, 19D1 – September 22, 1943), the Purple Heart was awarded both for wounds received in action against the enemy and for meritorious performance of duty.
