Geocache Description:

Film Canister

A small plastic container used for storing a roll of film.

These canisters used to be a household item that held many uses. Containing a roll of film yet to be developed, organizing small nuts and bolts, used in camping from bringing small amounts of toiletries, spices or the like with you. Keeping a small rock or other such collection. I even have a distinct memory of using a film canister as a bug holder till i could get the new find home. These Containers have long been a staple in the Geocacher's container supply. With the popularity of digital cameras we sure have a harder time finding places to get quantities. I remember when the very store this cache is in front of used to give you bags full if you asked but today I received their last few canisters.
