The Federal highway links Canberra to the Hume Highway near Goulburn. It was completed in 1931 and sealed in 1936. From the mid 1980s through the 90's the road was gradually upgraded to a dual carriageway. Several sections of the old road still exist and make an interesting diversion from the current highway. This series of caches show a few places along the way.
The road now climbs to a high point in a cutting. There are great views from here, especially to the south.
The cache is not beside the road. Park near the top end of the cutting and walk up.
