Pi, the Greek letter that symbolizes the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter represents an infinite number beginning with the digits 3.14.
Pi Day is celebrated on March 14. This year Pi Day will have special significance on 3/14/15 at 9:26:53 a.m. when the date and time represent the first ten digits of Pi (3.141592653).
If you want to remember that, count the letters in each word "Can I have a large container of coffee thank you."
Pi makes the world go round. So why not come round to the Pi Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion in Manotick and celebrate Pi Day.
Branch #314
5550 Ann Street, Manotick
March 14 / 15 at 9:26:53 a.m.
If you like, bring your trackables to swap and discover, perhaps share a story about your favorite Pi-themed geocache, and enjoy a coffee and a piece of Pi cake. The event will last until 10:30.
There will be door prizes and radians of fun.
