Geocache Description:

This geocache is part of the Taylor County Geotrail, a series of 11 geocaches launched in the Grafton area during Fall 2015.

This cache on the campus of Grafton City Hospital high above Grafton. The Taylor County office for the WVU Extension Service, where you can claim your wooden nickel during weekday business hours, is near this cache site.

Publicly-owned Grafton City Hospital has been providing for the medical needs of Taylor County since 1915. Photos inside the building's hallways show the progression of healthcare in Grafton since the hospital's founding.

Adjacent to the hospital is the Wallace B. Murphy M.D. Nursing Care Facility, which is connected to the hospital via an underground tunnel. Offices for the PATCH Coalition of Taylor County, sponsor of the Taylor County Geotrail, the Taylor County Family Resource Network, AmeriCorps, and the WVU Extension Service are near GZ.
