Bluff Creek Cemetery (Boone Co.) Traditional Cache

BYOP. Cache is located along the edge of the cemetery. You can access this cache via the gate or by going around on the north side of the fence. During the winter you will not be able to drive in but there is a gate which will allow you access if the road gate is closed. The road leading up the hill to this cemetery is slick during the winter, thaw or after a heavy rainstorm. Do not attempt this cache at night.

Bluff Creek Cemetery is located in the NW 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of Section 22 in Yell Township, Boone County, Iowa. The entire cemetery sits on the top of a bluff and is surrounded completely by timber. The access road is narrow but when the caretaker does open the gate for vehicles you can get all the way to the back. The cemetery has a bit of an hourglass shape from an aerial photo which is quite unique. This cemetery was founded in 1862.
