80's Flashback.....the ATARI Years Traditional Geocache

This cache is temporarily unavailable.

Mongo: Greetings,

This geocache looks like it might need some attention. The recent logs may contain more details about what sort of maintenance needs to be performed. This could be anything from a new logbook to replacing a missing container. Here are the things we need for you to perform.

  • Write a note: If you are unable to provide maintenance then post a note detailing exactly what your plan is. This will give you around thirty (30) days to accomplish maintenance on the geocache. Ownership after publication.
  • Maintenance: Visit your geocache, make any needed repairs, and post an “Owner Maintenance” log so the community knows it’s available to find. By posting an Owner maintenance log it will automatically remove the "Owner attention requested" icon.
  • Archive: If you decide it is time for your geocache to be permanently retired, please archive the listing and retrieve all physical stages. If a cache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance, it will not be unarchived.

For tips about how to perform maintenance and to learn why Geocaching HQ sends occasional geocache maintenance reminders, please see this Help Center article.

Thanks,
Mongo

Geocache Description:

This "mystery cache host container" is a Tribute to my all time favorite video game company....ATARI ! (Yes..I am that old...haha)
Ever since the 80's and even to this day---I have always been an avid die/hard "old school videogamer"...or some call it a "retro videogamer".
From Atari 400/800 computers to all 3 of their 80's home video game consoles/systems (2600, 5200 and 7800)....I love 'em all and still play them pretty much on a daily basis via computer emulators! Atari made some GREAT home video game systems starting in 1977 and up to their last system in the mid 90's (the Atari Jaguar).
I particularly liked their 80's home video game systems...and still do to this day!
Back in the golden age of Atari, I had all 3 of their home video game systems/consoles back in the good ole 80's.

This VERY UNIQUE cache is located only around 5 FEET off the good ole Frisco Highline Trail.
NO bushwhacking, ticks, thorns or poison ivy! PLEASE push the host container ALL the way back in as far as it can go!
Also..there should be a large ROCK placed directly in front of the host container AND TWO small rocks on each side of that beforementioned large rock.
PLEASE make sure these rocks are placed back EXACTLY how I described...especially the big rock in front.
(These rocks hides the host container from passing muggles.)
The container that holds the double ziplocked logsheet is a cammoed waterproof matchstick container and it is firmly "attached" to the unique main host....by a Zip tie/cable tie.
The matchstick container slides right under/behind the ziptie/cabletie...which securely holds it in place.
You WILL have to LIFT UP on the ziptie/cabletie in order to slide the matchstick container under/behind it.
Don't forget your pen/pencil!
Trail hours are from sunrise.....to sunset!
Enjoy the classic trip down Atari lane!!
Cache on my friends....
