Kapliczka w Łomiankach-Prochowni, a w zasadzie 2 kurhany położone naprzeciwko siebie na wlocie do Łomianek od strony Młocin. Po jednej stronie znajdziemy kopiec z kapliczką bez napisów, po drugiej kapliczkę z figurą św. Jana Nepomucena oraz tablicą fundacyjną.
Z kapliczkami związana jest legenda, że jest to miejsce pochowku polskich żołnierzy poległych w bitwie pod Łomiankami 22 września 1939 roku, ale z uwagi na okres powstania to raczej kopiec po wschodniej stronie drogi. Kapliczka po zachodniej stronie drogi ma ciekawszą historię.
Miejscowa legenda głosi, że podczas wielkiej powodzi w lipcu 1844 wezbrane wody rzeki Wisły przyniosły tutaj tą figurę. W 1849 mieszkańcy uzyskali pozwolenie na wzniesienie tu kapliczki "daszku gontami krytego na czterech słupach drewnianych" i umieszczono tutaj figurę. Podobno jeszcze w XIX wieku pielgrzymi z sandomierskiego rozpoznali ją jako pochodzącą z ich okolic i chcieli ją zabrać, ale miejscowy nie pozwolili i figurę ukryto na jakiś czas w kościele w Kiełpinie. Na początku XX wieku zniesiono nowa kapliczkę murowaną, a ze starej pozostała jedynie tabliczka.
Oryginalna rzeźba św. Jana Nepomucena pochodziła z XVIII wieku, w latach 90. XX wieku zastąpiona została kopią i oryginał znajduje się w kościele pw. św. Małgorzaty w Łomiankach.
Podczas prac budowlanych nad ścieżką rowerową w 2017 jeden z kopców został zniwelowany. Przy okazji kopce okazały się być pozostałością piaskowej wydmy, która została przekopana pod budowę drogi do Modlina. A dzieła zniszczenia wydmy dokonali mieszkańcy wykorzystując piasek do budowy okolicznych domów. Czyli kapliczka na piaskowej wydmie a nie na sztucznym kopcu.

Shrine in Łomianki - Prochownia (gun powder mill), in fact are two mounds located opposite each other on the road to Łomianki from Młociny. On one side we find a mound with a shrine without subtitles, on the other side the shrine with a statue of St. John of Nepomuk and the foundation tablet.
There is a legend that it is the burial place of Polish soldiers who died in the Battle of Łomianki on the 22th September in 1939, but because of the history of the place the story is connected rather with a mound on the east side of the road. Shrine on the west side of the road has a more interesting story.
Local legend says that during the great flood in July 1844 the swollen waters of the river Vistula brought here this figure. In 1849 residents have obtained permission to erect a shrine here, " the roof shingles covered by four wooden poles" and placed the figure here. Apparently, even in the nineteenth century, pilgrims from Sandomierz recognized statue as coming from their surroundings and they wanted to take it, but local people do not let them take it and the statue was hidden for a time in the church in Kiełpin. At the beginning of the twentieth century, a new shrine was build here, and the only remains from the previous one is old tablet.
The original sculpture of St. John of Nepomuk came from the eighteenth century. In the 90s of the twentieth century has been replaced by a copy and the original is in the church of St. Margaret in Łomianki.
During the construction works on the bike path in 2017, one of the mounds was leveled to the ground level. By the way, the mounds proved to be a remnant of the sand dunes, which was dug for the construction of the road to Modlin. And the destruction of the dunes was done by the residents using sand to build nearby houses. So the shrine is located on the sand dune and not on the mound.
