Geocache Description:

This pedestrian bridge is my favorite spot in all of Yonkers! EKL Tour and I live in the neighborhood and I always incorporate this little trail into my running route. I can sometimes be seen dancing across the bridge, believing that no one can see me... Except, of course, everyone driving by on the parkway below...

This bridge was erected in honor of John E. Flynn, who served as the mayor of Yonkers from 1961 to 1966 and served on the New York state senate from 1967 to 1986.

It allows pedestrians to travel between Valentine Street and Midland Avenue by crossing over the Cross County Parkway.

Parking is available on Midland Avenue or at the end of Hayward Street (and I believe also on one side of Valentine Street), depending on which trail entrance you are using. The cache CANNOT be accessed from the parkway!!!!!!

If you are bringing the kids, please be cautious as there is some broken glass on the ground.

A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO CAMPFIRE FOR THE FTF!!!! :D
