There are some interesting photos and maps showing the history of the Napier to Taupo road inside the cafe. We had lunch there and asked permission to place the cache, but there is no need to visit the cafe as the cache is placed well away from it. Please be careful not to be seen by others parked amongst the trees when retrieving or replacing the cache, and ensure it's well hidden.
