This one's for you, Tabbles. I have been driving Schnebly Hill Rd for twenty years and every year it gets rougher. Today I had planned a drive to the top, but turned around after two miles. This one is not too far after the paved road ends, so you will get a taste of the next 4 miles. Highly recommend renting a OHV from one of the many businesses in Sedona and abusing their vehicle instead of yours.
You seek a camoed matchbox tube. Watch out for thorny, scratchy, pokey things! You can also park at the nearby Trailhead (Red Rock Pass required) and hike the short distance to the cache.
THE FOREST SERVICE CLOSES SCHNEBLY HILL ROAD MANY YEARS DURING THE WINTER. PLEASE RESPECT THE CLOSURE AND DO NOT DRIVE AROUND THE GATE. You can easily hike to this cache from the Trailhead parking.
