I love this place. Despite the development, I feel it still retains an element of peace. You're able to look out at the boats, which feel locked in place, but then follow the canal west down to Diglis Junction where it meets the River Severn. I feel it is somewhat tucked away and you would not find it unless you had reason to walk this way. Having said that, there are other caches nearby, so you guys will probably have already been here!! BUT, I really love the swing bridge, so that's why I've popped it here. The bridge was built in 2006, made from timber and iron and is manually operated. I've never seen it open, so if you come across it open, please upload a picture! All other pictures are obviously very welcome.
The cache is situated near to a floating cafe where you can either sit on board, or outside in the (hopefully) sunshine. It's only open in the summer months though.
This is obviously an area where care needs to be taken. Please do not go too close to the waters edge (you don't need to). Please watch out for yourself and particularly any geokids you bring with you. This is a great site for teaching water safety to children: https://canalrivertrust.org.uk/explorers/water-safety
