Geocache Description:

This cache (along with “Pippa’s Logs” and “Lucy’s Homing In”) is on or around my favourite walk over the attractive hills and valleys to the South of Salisbury. There are some excellent views of Salisbury on the way. The Old Shaftesbury Drove can get EXTREMELY MUDDY in this area. The Drove runs most of the way from Salisbury to Shaftesbury, which is about 20 miles away. A ‘drove’ is a path or track used by farmers to move livestock from one place to another, on foot. Farmers probably took cattle and sheep to market at either Salisbury or Shaftesbury.
