Summerhill is a unique Country Park on the edge of Hartlepool. In the late 1990's the site was a network of fields.Since that time it has been transformed into an important site for wildlife and a major outdoor activity centre. There have been over 90,000 trees planted, hedgerows improved and ponds created.Summerhill also includes several archaeological sites most notably the Iron Age/Romano British 'Catcote Village' site. There is loads to do here, boulder climbing, play areas, cafe(Sunday dinners),Bmx track, cycle clinic, great walks and routes to Ward Jackson park. Thanks to Adam Reah and his staff for allowing the route.
