Kununoppin is located 246 kilometres NE of Perth, between Trayning and Nungarin along the Pioneers’ Pathway, in the Shire of Trayning. It is a delightful small town nestled in salmon gum woodland.Kununoppin is known for its beautiful trees and relaxed bush setting and now it has a cache too. Take time to meander through its streets to discover the tin sculptures scattered here and there, seek out the swaggy and his dog.
Walks in the area are second to none and bushwalks are a delight during wildflower season. Billacatting Nature Reserve is located 9km north of Kununoppin. This large granite outcrop has 2 interpreted walk trails. One loop trail around the base of the rock and one to the peak for amazing views, picnic and toilet facilities available.
