Squire Boone Cemetery is located in the SW 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Section 11 in Worth Township, Boone County, Iowa. This cemetery was founded in 1848 and is well-maintained and has several hundred stones from recent all the way back to pioneer. I couldn't locate a lot of information about this place, but I did notice a lot of stones here with the name "Boone" on them. I am not certain whether or not the City of Boone was named after one of the pioneers buried here, but it would make sense. If you drive around the grounds you will see a couple of interesting features, such as the white outhouse to the S of where the cache container is hidden. If anyone has any further information about this cemetery, or who "Squire Boone" may be, please feel free to share it when you log your find.
