The You Yangs Regional Park is a series of distinctive granite peaks that rise from the surrounding flat volcanic plains between Melbourne and Geelong. Amongst the scrubby bushland live a diverse array of animals, birds, reptiles and amphibians. The park is popular for its numerous bushwalks, mountain bike trails, scenic drives and rock climbing opportunities. You can even bring your dog as long as he stays on his lead.
The Lower Picnic Area offers the visitor the opportunity to have a bbq or picnic, or merely a well earned cup of coffee, whilst enjoying the surrounding bush serenity. Thus, this cache is the third of six that radiate out from, and surround, the central picnic tables/bbq area of this particular picnic area. You can access the cache by parking in the picnic areas parking bays and then walking to the cache. There is some low vegetation and dead, fallen branches underfoot so please wear appropriate footwear and tread carefully. Also please be aware that snakes are out and about between spring and autumn.
You are looking for a large 10 liter plastic bucket that has been spray painted to blend in with the surroundings. It contains a log book but please bring your own pen. There is a puzzle, or game, to be completed to access the log sheet. The information about the puzzle is secured under the bucket lid and the appropriate items are inside. Please make sure bucket lid is secured properly and rehide carefully. Hope you enjoy the cache.
Constructive feedback would be appreciated as this is my first puzzle cache.
