Staw Kachlarski to jeden z większych akwenów na Szachtach. Jego nazwa pochodzi od niemieckiego słowa Kachel, które oznacza kafelek - płytkę i nawiązuje do wypalanych z gliny kafli w pobliskiej cegielni.

Kachlarski Pond is one of the largest bodies of water on the shafts. Its name comes from the German word Kachel, which means the tiles - tile and refers to the fired clay tiles in a nearby brickyard.
