This is the 3rd of 6 caches laid around the 5 km circular route around Holt Heath. A lovely cache taking in the ornate Holt Fleet Bridge over the river Severn. This bridge was designed by Thomas Telford and openned in 1830. It was refurbished and re-painted in 2012. The walk continues on alongside the river and can be muddy at times.
This is a larger cache with room for swops, it is a nice walk from road to this cache along the riveside. This footpath now takes you along the sides of the river Severn where you can see all sorts of Wildlife including Herons / Kingfishers and Plenty of Ducks ! This walk will take you up past the Weir and will allow you to see the island where the Lock is situated on the oppisite riverbank.
