Kingfisher - BB#15 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

CaligulaNZ: Archived due to recent new guidelines concerning Utility Boxes. When placed these BB caches did have Chorus permission - but 4 or 5 years on who knows if the original permission-provider is still with the company. Thanks to everyone who visited and enjoyed the fantastic art. Passing by today, so removed the cache container, and now to archive. The last remaining act is to add a photo of the Box art that was originally omitted (to help increase the pleasure of catching sight of the art yourself).

Geocache Description:

Another in the Broadband Box BB series. A quick park and grab, just off SH2 in the Wairarapa.

STEALTH REQUIRED!

Recently spotted when caching-about Masterton - another stunning addition to the Broadband series.

Like the other caches in this series the purpose is to bring the art work to a much wider (geo-caching) audience. Note that the location is highly visible to numerous passing muggles!

The broadband cabinets that have sprung up around the country have proven highly susceptible to graffiti, and are often re-targeted soon after the graffiti is cleaned off. The broadband company, in conjunction with local councils, runs a programme of beautifying these boxes, with the hope this will discourage graffiti, and giving the local community a piece of artwork they can enjoy. Many of these cabinets around the country are receiving brightly coloured artworks carried out by local artisits. Each cabinet is painted in a different theme, often in consultation with the local residents. The company prioritise those cabinets that are most frequently hit with graffiti.

I considered adding a photo to the cache description, but thought it better to let cache-finders experience the art as they come upon it. {I may add a photo at a later date}.

Please replace exactly as you found it. Use stealth and any required covertness/deception to avoid bringing this cache to the attention of muggles. A writing implement will also be necessary!

Please replace the cache exactly as you found it - thank you!
