Geocache Description:

Historic Hamilton will be a series of caches that serve to bring cachers to historic places in and around the City of Hamilton. These caches can be placed by anyone, and are not limited to one owner. If you know of a historic place in the City of Hamilton to which you would like to bring people, feel free to add it to the series!

Cache is a bison tube that has a logbook. Please bring your own writing instrument to sign the logbook, and replace as found.

Posted coordinates bring you to the Hamilton Air Force Association parking lot, where they have on display a Canadair T-33 Silver Star, which is commonly known as a T-Bird. This plane arrived in March 1976. It was flown in from CFB Camp Borden by Chinook helicopter and mounted on its pedestal in the parking lot.

The plane once had a 4 digit letter and number combination on both sides, near the nose. Your job is to find out what this was (look at nearby waymarks or on the nearby plaque). Convert the letter to a number (ie. A=1, B=2) so that you now have a 4 digit number. Divide this 4 digit number by 1000 and SUBTRACT from the following coordinates: N 43° 17.615 W 079° 58.304

Congratulations to Oh Joy Oh Bliss I on the FTF!
