A Stop on the Prairie View Trail is like the cache name suggests - located a short distance off the Prairie View Trail. Travel to the cache is along a well maintained primary trail that leads to the Barrier Lake Viewpoint. There is a short thirty metre off-trail section across uneven terrain to the cache site where care and attention is needed at all times.

A Stop on the Prairie View Trail is a larger container with the usual logbook, pencils and number of initial travelers. The cache was placed for the 2nd WFM @ the Barrier Lake Viewpoint.
