Choć etymologia nazwy stawu nie jest znana, możemy sie domyślać, że owa postać zapewne przechadzała się jego brzegiem i była tu często widywana a zapewne mieszkała właśnie na Rudniczem. Staw jest zasilany przez potok Skórzyna i położony na terenie użytku ekologicznego Kopanina I. Skórzyna uchodzi do Strumienia Junikowskiego około 100m dalej na południowy wschód. Akwen otoczony roślinnością szuwarową, w której dominuje trzcina pospolita. Ponadto rośnie tu wierzba i topola. W 2006 na terenie zbiornika stwierdzono stanowisko bobra europejskiego.
Although the etymology of the pond is not known, we Aug. guess that this figure probably walked the entire river and it was here often being seen and probably lived just on Rudnicze. The pond is fed by a stream Skórzyn, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, and is located in the use of ecological Digging I. Skórzyn, Lower Silesian Voivodeship Stream flows into Junikowski about 100m further to the southeast. The lake is surrounded by vegetation rush, which is dominated by common reed.
