With an increasing number of caches around the UK carrying the Wireless Beacon attribute, I thought the time was right to set a Challenge to mark these. On day of publication there were 130 such caches in the UK, and rising all the time.
To qualify you simply need to have found and logged at least six different caches in the UK which have the Wireless Beacon attribute, by at least three different owners. They can be any type, and need to have been active when you found them. They can be either Chirp™ or WiFi or NFC caches (or other new, as yet unspecified, technology), but the few (now archived) experimental Ethernet caches which used to exist in the UK cannot be included as they did not carry the attribute.
So to summarise, any six caches in the UK which carry the Wireless Beacon attribute, by three or more different owners, will qualify.
Collecting the cache will take you on a short (and possibly muddy) walk, overlooked by Windmill Hill at Brill, which was one of the 4200+ locations across the British Commonwealth which carried a flaming beacon of the traditional, non-technological type to mark the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II in 2002, as well as many thousands around the world to see in the second millennium.
You do not need any special technology to locate this Challenge container - only to Qualify for it!
