Geocache Description:

On May 3, 2000 Dave Ulmer placed a container at N 45° 17.460 W 122° 24.800 and started what he called "Great American GPS Stash Hunt". On September 2 Goecaching.com was launched with 75 known caches (stashes) around the world (Geocaching History). The objective of this challenge is to set off to find some of the geocaches that were hidden during the second calendar year of geocaching.

This is my second oldies Challenge Cache. 8 from 2000 Challenge! (GC5BRWX) asks that you find 8 Geocaches that were hidden in the year 2000, equivalent to finding half of the 2000 geocaches that still exist in California. This challenge asks you to find some of the the rare, but much more plentiful geocaches that were hidden in 2001. As of the publication date of this cache, there are 63 geocaches from 2001 hidden within 60 miles of Davis and 145 geocaches from 2001 hidden within 100 miles of Davis. Your goal with be to find a bunch of these.

Here are the requirements to log a find:
1) Find at least 18 geocaches that were hidden in 2001
2))  Geocaches must have the original GC code. That means that the GC codes should be something like GC1xx-GC2xxx
3) There must be a find from every month of 2001
4) There must be at least 2 finds for six of the months in 2001
5)  List your 18 finds including a) cache name b) GC code c) date hidden and d) date found.
6) You may sign the log at any time but must wait until you find all 18 caches before recording your find.

Congratulations to bon scott for the FTF!

My apology to Team Pluto and Budzdunwerkin for missing out on the FTF race because of the changed posting requirements.
