Tandjiesberg is on the Eastern side of the R63 between Jansenville and Graaff-Reinet. It signals the end of the open plain (vlaktes) and the beginning of the Sneeuberg Mountains.
Tandjiesberg is named after the teeth like rocks on the ridge and is a well known landmark just outside Graaff-Reinet. The highest point is 1 529 meters. While a high point in the area it is not the highest point of the Sneeuberg range. This honour goes to Compassberg which is 2 502 meters high. .
The cache is not at the fence. Please cover the cache well so it is not detected by the grass cutters that keep the grass on the roadside short.
