Did you know that the green and golden bell frog is an endangered species? Did you know there are only 43 identified remaining key populations of Green and Golden Bell Frogs in New South Wales with 8 of these in the Sydney region. The suburb of Greenacre, located within the Strathfield and Bankstown local government areas, is known to support one of these key populations.
Strathfield Council provides useful information about the Green and Golden Bell frog here (visit link)
Within this information, Strathfield Council suggests you can help by creating frog friendly habitat in your backyard. How do you do this? Attend the start of this simple two stage multi to find out How to Build a Frog Pond of course!
The final location for this cache is a short walk away, so use those environmentally friendly legs of yours to head to S33 52.ABC E151 05.XYZ, where, referring to the frog pond building sign no longer at the posted coordinates (See cache listing for photo):
A = the number of letters in the first word of the second paragraph.
B = the number of paragraphs on the sign.
C = the number of words in the title on the sign.
X = how many ponds are here (and mentioned in the details on the sign).
Y = how many times the phrase 'Green and Golden Bell Frog' is used in the information section of the sign (not the sign generally).
Z = the number of images/logos along the bottom of the sign.
The final cache is a simple hide that although not in plain sight, upon approach it should be easy enough to identify the hiding spot. You are extremely exposed to muggles - please be careful. And although close to the road, there is no need to be on the 'road-side' of this structure, so please take care.
Note the different stages of construction at this vicinity, this particular area has been 'made over' a few times - avoid this staged look with your frog pond by planning appropriately from the get go! If you wish to find out more about the Green and Golden Bell Frog, Sydney Olympic Park Authority provides some usual information here (visit link) . Further, the earthcache at nearby Sydney Olympic Park will also teach you some more about this cute little frog.
This is officially my 25th hide, and my first multi cache hidden. I am releasing a trackable here, TB6BRAD (visit link) whose mission is to travel the world visiting and learning about frogs!
Congratulations to JordsAU and morry9 on joint FTF shortly after midnight and almost 5 hours after publication.
