Moscow Children's Railway was opened on the 2-nd of May, 1937. It is narrow-gauge railway, gauge is 750 mm.
The first train went from station "Путь Ильича" ("Lenin's way") to "Школьная" ("School").
Nowadays a border between Zhukovsky and Kratovo passes by this railway, its length is nearly 5 kilometers.

Pionerskaya Station is situated near Kratovo pond and surrounded by old pines. Railroad depot is located there.
Station was built by August, 1940. The first name of the station was "Культбаза" ("Cultural Center"). By the 50-s it was renamed to "Пионерская" ("Pioneer"). In 1979 new passenger platform was built here.
