PI - the mathematical constant that is the ratio of the circumference to the diameter of a circle - 3.1415926535.....
To celebrate Pi day on as close a date and time as possible, in as appropriate a place as I could think of, meet on March 14, 2015 at 9:26am for 5 minutes and 35 seconds of pie-eating and perhaps a group photo at the statue of one of Scotland's most famous mathematicians, James Clerk Maxwell.
Bring a pie (I will probably have some packets of small apple pies also) - look nochalant, then when the whistle blows at 9:26 congregate and eat pie for 5 and a half minutes. We will meet on the wide pavement just to the east of St Andrew's and St George's West Church. If numbers and parking permit we may go across to the status of JCM. When the whistle blows again, walk away.
....nothing happened...
There are numerous coffee shops etc nearby to retire to if you would like to continue the caching natter, swap trackables etc.
You will never have the opportunity to celebrate Pi-Day to SO many decimal places - don't' miss this!!
