Bring the whole family for a fun day at the lake! You'll find a sandy beach, plenty of sheltered picnic tables, lots of parking and boating of all kinds! There will be a raffle ticket waiting for each geocacher after signing the log book at the event..Hope you win something! Food or drink will not be provided so be sure to bring your own! Bring a folding chair if a picnic bench won't do. The event takes place at the Acacia Recreation Site on beautiful Canyon Lake!
This event runs from 10:00am until 2:00pm.IMPORTANT! You will need a Tonto recreation pass to park! If you are a senior (62+) the.. America The Beautiful..National Parks and Federal Recreational Pass will provide a 50% discount for the pass. You can get your discount at this address. Mesa Ranger District 5140 E. Ingram St. Mesa, Arizona 85205 (480) 610-3300 The Tonto Pass is a daily (24-hour) recreation pass for visitors to more than 50 recreation sites where a daily-use fee is required on the Tonto National Forest. The Pass will be displayed on visitor’s vehicle rear-view mirror or dash. The passes sell for $6.00 per vehicle at many locations..Basha's, Fry's, Quik Trip and Valero and more. Cathy and I will be bringing our trackable kayaks. There will be a trackable/travel bug table for viewing and discovery! We will also be putting out some new caches in the area in conjunction with this event!...................PLEASE log your "will attend" if you're coming so we can plan better!
