How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

Curtlestown Woods is adjoining the Wicklow Way route and is frequented by many hillwalkers as well as occasional Sunday strollers and dog walkers. It is enjoyed by families also for a ramble and indeed for summer picnics. Although I KNOW that most Geocachers are wise folk, PLEASE DO NOT allow anyone to play on the stored cut logs!!! The area is maintained by the National Forestry Comission Coillte and the cache is placed in line with their "Leave No Trace" principle.

While sussing out locations for cache placements way back when with a geo-friend, we came upon this small ruin. I have no info about the ruin but I think it was possibly a hunting lodge.

There is a direct route to this cache from higher caches BUT this is private property, so please do not cross any boundary fences! This cache is not placed on private property! The cache container is a home-made double-ended bottletop, which is covered in camo tape and attached to a tree with cable-ties.

***CONGRATULATIONS*** to s2zero for FTF@ 08:45!
