Curtlestown Woods is adjoining the Wicklow Way route and is frequented by many hillwalkers as well as occasional Sunday strollers and dog walkers. It is enjoyed by families also for a ramble and indeed for summer picnics. Although I KNOW that most Geocachers are wise folk, PLEASE DO NOT allow anyone to play on the stored cut logs!!! The area is maintained by the National Forestry Comission Coillte and the cache is placed in line with their "Leave No Trace" principle.
The cache container is a homemade double bottletop superglued together and covered in silver carpet tape. It contains only a log. I have been to these woods on several occasions before I got into Geocaching, and this area in particular is a great spot to have a break and take in the absolutely breathtaking scenery of the Great Sugarloaf mountain and surrounding countryside.
***CONGRATULATIONS*** To both Bohstom & s2zero for joint FTF!
