Matthew Henson was the first African American Arctic Explorer, which kind of makes him like a geocacher in the winter climates here. The park named after him is a greenway along the Turkey Branch of Rock Creek. The park runs from Aspen Hill to Layhill, Maryland, linking the Rock Creek Trail with the Sligo Creek Trail.
Montgomery County Parks really do love making these bridges. Some seem unnecessary, even though I know they are attempting to leave no trace. Cache here is a magnetic hidden in an easy to find location. When you are finished make sure to check out the other caches in the area by other cachers and I.
