It is only a short walk from the road accesses to this cache which is in a dry woodland on sandy soil. The reserve is fairly narrow in this spot.

This track, which is easily accessed from a number of streets, provides a wonderful natural breathing space in the centre of pressing residential development in Kingston and Blackmans Bay. The track winds through delightful peppermint and white gum woodland, dotted with sandstone outcrops. Orchids can be found in the heathland in spring and early summer, along with epacris, pea flowers and wattles.
